On Thursday, December 2, 2021, Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, known professionally as Blaqbonez appealed to his landlord to increase his rent.
Blaqbonez’ request for an increment in rent was premised on the fact that he has achieved so many wins land thinks that as a result, he ought not be paying the same amount as rent.

In furtherance, Blaqbonez stated that his rent can be increased even if there are no new modifications to his home.

Well, Blaqbonez’ landlord saw the request and decided to grant it.
Blaqbonez’ landlord’s message to him read; “Based on your popular demand on social media that I should double your rent, I’m using this medium to reach you to accept your demand that your rent request has be increased.”
However, Blaqbonez said that he was under the influence of alcohol when he made the request.
