Fuzzy logic is based on the idea of deciding on an output based on assumptions. It operates on the basis of sets. Each set represents some linguistic variables that define the output’s possible state.

Each possible state of the input, as well as the degrees of change in the state, is included in the set, from which the output is predicted. It operates on the If-else-the principle, i.e. If A AND B Then Z.
