Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, known professionally as Saweetie, is an American rapper.
Saweetie was born on July 2, 1993 in Santa Clara, California to Trinidad Valentin, a Filipina Chinese, and Johnny Harper, an African American.

Saweetie grew up in the Central Valley, attending Merrill F. West High School in Tracy and graduating from Monterey Trail High School in Elk Grove.
Saweetie began writing music at age 13.
After high school, Saweetie attended San Diego University, where she studied communications and business before transferring to the University of Southern California, where she completed her degree and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.

After graduating, Saweetie began to focus on her rap career.

How did Saweetie get famous?
Saweetie rose to fame through Instagram when she started to post short snippets of her rapping videos.
Saweetie was later signed to Warner records which was a big breakthrough for her.
Saweetie’s first manager, Max Gousse also signed her for his record label Artistry Worldwide.
