Gervonta B. Davis was born on November 7, 1994, in the Sandtown-Winchester community of Baltimore, Maryland, the United States to parents, Garrin Davis and Kenya Brown. During his childhood, both of his parents were cocaine-addicted, hence he was moved from one foster home to another while his parents were in jail.
Gervonta Davis has two younger brothers. He attended the ‘Digital Harbor High School’ but did not complete his studies because of his career. He later did a GED program and got a secondary degree.
Gervonta Davis has been training at Upton Boxing Center since he was five years old and is trained by Calvin Ford. He made his debut at the age of 18 on February 22, 2013, against Desi Williams.
