Who Are Jo-Carroll Dennison Ex-Husbands Russell Stoneham And Phil Silvers?

Jo-Carroll Dennison was born on December 16, 1923, in Florence, Arizona. She however died on October 18, 2021, at the ripe age of 97. She was an American actress and model. She won the Miss America beauty pageant in 1942 at age 18.

Prior to that, she had won Miss Tyler, Miss East Texas, Miss Texas and eventually, Miss America. She set a precedent in her time by not wearing a swimsuit during her reign. She had been the oldest surviving former Miss America at the time of her death.

After her reign as Miss America, she got signed to a seven-year contract with 20th Century Fox. She starred in Winged Victory, The Jolson Story, Prehistoric Women and even made appearances on the Dick Tracy Series.

In 1945, Jo-Carroll Dennison got married to comedian Phil Silvers. However, they got divorced five years later. They had no children during their marriage. She later got married to T.V. producer, Russell Stoneham. Their union produced two sons; Peter and John. They however got separated in the 1970s and subsequently got divorced.
