John Finch was a sportscaster who plied his trade for the Esports community. John Finch passed away when he was at the peak of his career, at the age of 28.

John Finch was a studio member of Hi-Rez which is a section of the SMITE community and was loved by many of his fellow workers. A fellow host on Esports, Kelly Link, described John Finch as “an incredibly bright and caring person that would light up any conversation.”

John Finch passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021, but the cause of his death has not yet been revealed.

The Esports community on Sunday, May 23, 2021, announced the death of their former analyst in a statement that reads: “I am devastated to relay the news John Finch, one of the anchor members of our esports casting team, passed away on Thursday. He was 28 years old. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones. In 2017, John burst onto the scene at Hi-Rez as a contestant on The Caster, a reality show competition that we held to find new esports talent.”
