Yvonne Romain born Yvonne Warren on February 17, 1938, is a 1950s and 1960s British film and television actress.

Yvonne Romain is a graduate of the Italia Conti Academy and was born in London. She began performing in children’s shows and repertory at the age of twelve. In her late teens, she began acting in British films.
Her exotic, dark appearance and 38-22-36 body saw her frequently placed in supporting parts as Italian or Spanish maidens in war films and comedies.

However, she is arguably most known for her performances in a slew of British horror films. She appeared in Corridors of Blood (1958), starring Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee, and Circus of Horrors (1959). (1960). She would also appear in the subsequent Devil Doll (1964), a film about a wicked ventriloquist’s dummy.

Yvonne Romain married Leslie Bricusse, a composer of musicals (including Stop the World I Want to Get Off, Scrooge, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) and lyricist for the classic James Bond themes Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice, and she later turned down a seven-year contract with Federico Fellini because it would require her to work away from her Hollywood-based husband and young son Adam.
