Kingsbury set numerous NCAA Division I passing records throughout his playing career and was a member of the Super Bowl XXXVIII-winning New England Patriots team in 2003, which defeated the Carolina Panthers. The Cardinals hired him to replace Steve Wilks as head coach on January 8, 2019.
