Jalen Alexander Hurts, an American football quarterback with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, was born on August 7, 1998. (NFL).

He spent his first three seasons of collegiate football at Alabama, where he was a member of the squad that won the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, before transferring to Oklahoma for his final year of eligibility.

The Eagles selected Hurts in the second round of the NFL Draft in 2020. Initially a backup, he was promoted to starter near the end of the 2020 season.

Hurts went to Channelview High School, which is located in Channelview, Texas.  Throughout his kids’ high school careers, Hurts’ father, Averion, was the football coach at Channelview High School.
