Powerball is a lottery game available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands.

The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), a nonprofit organization founded by an agreement with lobbyists and US firms, is in charge of coordinating it.

The drawing takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern.

How much money do you win if you match one, two, or three Powerball numbers?

You haven’t won anything if you just matched one white number.

If you just matched the red ball (the Powerball, which is the final number drawn), you will receive $4.

You can spend that money on two additional Powerball tickets! It’s worth noting that matching one red ball in Powerball pays out more than matching one yellow ball in Mega Millions, which only pays out $2 in such a situation.

According to the regulations of Powerball, if you match two white Powerball numbers, you will not win any money.

If you match a white ball and the red Powerball, you’ll earn $4, which is the same as if you match just one red ball, so the extra white ball you matched doesn’t actually count for anything.

If you match four numbers, you will win $100 regardless of the outcome. You’ll still win $100 if you match four white balls or three white balls and one red Powerball.

You’ll win $50,000 if you match four white balls and a red Powerball. You will win $1 million if you match five white balls. Once again, the rules aren’t particularly clear, and getting a red Powerball as one of your five matching numbers actually reduces your chances of winning.

You will win the huge prize if you match all five white balls and the red ball.
