Social media Apps notably, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger are all down across the globe due to a problem with the Domain Name System according to a statement from Facebook.

Facebook has said it is working on restoring its services. The error message on the webpage of Facebook Inc suggested a problem with Domain Name System (DNS). DNS allows web addresses to take users to their destinations.
Facebook announced on Twitter that they have acknowledged users are having trouble login in but failed to point the problem at hand.
“We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience,” Facebook said.

The problem is persisting as Facebook CTO announce on Twitter that they are working to restore things.

WhatsApp also took to Twitter to announce they are aware of the challenge and that they are tirelessly working to restore things just as Facebook announced.

Instagram also joined the announcement on Twitter. It is also working of ensuring the system gets back as early as possible.

Currently, only Twitter and Telegram are working to connect people around the world. However, Telegram experienced some challenges as users from Instagram, Facebook and Messenger quickly joined to use the App.
