Rema once shared that D’Prince approached him some years ago to come do music even though he was comfortable at where he was. During an interview a while ago, he shared that he started doing music at age 11 in Benin State, but he wasn’t so much into it till D’Prince called him to Lagos.
According to him, D’Prince brought him on board because he wanted to bring a new sound on the record label. He started as a songwriter for Mavin till he was nurtured enough to become an artiste by himself.
He then started making songs that have new sounds like Spiderman, Dumebi, and more. Rema has now become one of the best Afrobeats stars in the world. He is the most streamed Afrobeats artiste in the world without an album out yet.
