Are Lucas and Johannes Radebe related?

South African dancer and choreographer, Johannes Rabede, is rumoured to be a relative of South African footballer Lucas Rabede.

Johannes Labede is specialised in Latin dance and has won many honours in dance competitions. He is a two-time champion in the South African version of “Strictly Come Dancing.” Johannes is a three-time South African Amateur Latin Champion.

Lucas Rabede is a 52-year-old retired footballer who made 70 appearances for the South African national football team. He played for Kaizer Chiefs in South African then headed to English top-flight side Leeds United.

Lucas Radebe played in central midfield and retired in 2005. In 2010, he won the Profession Footballers Association Merit Award for his contribution to football.

Both Johannes Rabede and Lucas Rabede are South Africans. The name of Lucas’ father is Johannes Rabede. With all these similarities, they are not relatives of each other.

Although there is controversial debate as to whether Lucas and Johannes relate, they have no relation.
