The alliance between Alan and Francis became weaker with time as Francis paired with Rick Parfitt to record a new album under the name of the band, “Status Quo.” According to sources, this was done without considering Alan Lancaster although the rock bank was jointly owned by Alan and Francis.

Alan Lancaster left Status Quo in 1985 with brief reunions in 2013 and 2014. Although the demise of Alan has caused sadness among his fans, he is still a legend in the rock band.
