Social media users have reacted funnily after officials of the Nigerian National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), cautioned members to develop personal relationships with kidnappers.

A new handbook for NYSC members also stated that staff and members who have been posted in some areas around Abuja should have their families on standby to pay ransom in case they are kidnapped.
Netizens upon seeing this reacted by posting memes and videos on how they’ll relate with their kidnappers when captured. As some made jokes about it, others also shared that the negligence of the Nigerian government has been so absurd for years and they are not willing to change.
Cases of robbery, kidnap, rape, and all sort of crimes have risen in Nigeria over the years. Most people have expressed that Nigeria is one of the most dangerous countries to live in. Over the years, citizens have cried for better leadership, but to no avail.
