Actor Tim Donnelly died at the age of 77 amid complications after surgery. Donnelly portrayed the role of firefighter, Chat Kelly on the NBC show through its duration from January 1972 through to May 1977.

Donnelly began acting throughout 1960s and 70s. He started a litany of projects throughout this time, with some of his more notable credits including The Secret of Santa Vittoria.

The Kelly character, based out of Los Angeles Country Fire Department’s station 51, was marked by his penchant for practical jokes.
Donnelly also appeared on Webb-produced shows Dragnet 1967 and Adam- 12, as well as on shows including The Smith Family, Hawaii Five-O, Project UFO, Vega$, CHiPs and The A-Team.

Tim Donnelly died ON Friday, September 24, 2021, at his house in Santa Fe, New Mexico, of problems from surgery, his older brother, director Dennis Donnelly, told The Hollywood Reporter.
