Social media users have sent congratulatory messages and well wishes to Nigerian Rapper, Ladipoe, as he bags his first international award nomination.

The Mavin records signee is the only Nigerian nominated in this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards Best International Act 2021. He was nominated alongside, Nasty C (South Africa), Xama (Brazil), Laylow (France), Gazo (France), Little Simz (UK), and Dave (UK).
Ladipoe has been commended for his lyricism and flow on several songs over the years. His song ‘Feeling’ which features Buju, became an instant hit after its release. According to some people, his talent has been underrated for some time now.
The self-acclaimed ‘Rap Messiah’ has gradually become one of Nigeria’s most sought after rappers in 2021. Most people express that whenever he collaborates with his co-signee, Johnny Drille, they produce great tunes. The two have songs like Jaye, Hold On, Driving in the Rain, and more. Fans are anticipating that he wins and becomes the first Nigerian to win that category.
Ghana’s Sarkodie is the first recipient of that category after it was announced in 2019. British-Ghanaian Rapper, Stormzy won the following year (2020).
