American professional tennis player, Jenson Brooksby, had World Number 1 Novak Djokovic completely nervous for a set and a half on Arthur Ashe stadium at the US Open on Monday, September 6.

After four sets, gallant defeat, the 20 years old had more than proved his worth on the big stage and led to the top seed to remark.

Outside the Top200 in the FedEx ATP Rankings less than four months ago. Brooksby was confident that he had exceeded all the expectations on his first run to the second week of the Grand Slam.

He said; “It’s definitely all positive things to take away. I learned my game. I’m feeling really confident in my game. I believe I can compete with anybody. I knew it would be important to start strong, to impose my mindset and my strategy, my game out there. It’s definitely special.”
The experience of taking it to the World’s best on the biggest Grand Slam Stadium is invaluable as he looks to build on his breakout run.
