Bernadette Adams: Meet Jean-Pierre Adams’ Wife Who Remained Married To Him Throughout His 39-Years In Coma

How far would one go to keep the person they love most alive?

Loyalty in these contemporary times is one value that is so hard to come by but the love of Bernadette for her spouse Jean-Pierre Adams is empirical proof that true love still exists.

Jean-Pierre Adams, born on March 10, 1948, was a central defender who has been in a coma since March 17, 1982, due to medical negligence following an operation handled by a trainee at Lyon Hospital.

The anesthesiologist made a mistake in his calculations for Jeanne to suffer bronchospasm due to sedation. The lack of oxygen in his brain drove him to a state of unconsciousness.

What is outstanding is the love displayed by his wife Bernadette who has refused to order his euthanization believing that he will rise from his coma one day.

Unfortunately, the formal player Jean was pronounced dead at Nimes University Hospital on 6th September 2021. He was just 73 years of age after being in a coma for 39 years.

The tragic story of the former player is posted every in the news and not much Is known about his wife. So who is Bernadette?

Bernadette was born and raised in France. Her father worked as a manufacturer to help his family.  Not much is known about her personal life but she is believed to be either in her 60’s or 70’s.

The couple met during the 1950s and were immediately married in April of 1969. They spent 13 happy years together and had 2 children.

Despite it being tasking, Bernadette has devoted her time, resources, and life to tending to Adams.

“No one ever forgets to give Jean-Pierre presents, whether it’s his birthday, Christmas, or Father’s Day,” Bernadette told CNN.

Very little is know about her yet telling from her Instagram posts, She spends most of her time visiting football arenas where Pierre used to play.
