Nigerian Singer, Tems, is now topping the list of African artistes with the most monthly listeners on Spotify, surpassing Grammy award winners, Wizkid and Burna Boy.

Tems now has eleven (11) million plus monthly listeners on the popular music streaming platform, Spotify. Followed by Wizkid who has 10.5 million, then Burna Boy with 9.2 million. Other Nigerian artistes on the list include Mr. Eazi, Davido, and Rema. Just a few days ago, Tems had only 5 million monthly listeners but it seems Drake’s collaboration has done some huge changes to the life of the ‘Essence’ hitmaker.
Tems is the only female artiste in Africa to achieve such a milestone without an album. Her total number of songs will not be up to twenty. Many people have shared that, her unique voice and talent have gotten her so many opportunities her colleague female artistes couldn’t grab. Others also express that Wizkid should be given some accolades for putting her in the international limelight.
