Sean Lock was a team captain on the series 8 Out of 10 Cats, hosted by Jimmy Carr, and also appeared on QI, The Last Leg, Have I Got News for You, and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year.

Lock was diagnosed with cancer in the 1990s and blamed it on over-exposure to the sun.
Lock said in 2010 that a woman called Tina, noticed something about him after spending a night with her. The woman saw something weird on his back.
“I asked her what it looked like, and she said it was a patch of skin which was black, misshapen, with a crusty texture and about the size of a 10p piece.
“I had no idea how long it had been there. It didn’t hurt or itch, so there was nothing that would have drawn my attention to it.”, Lock explained.
