How long do Electric car batteries last?

Electric cars are seen by many as the future for the automobile industry. It also depends largely on the life span of the batteries they run on. 

Regardless of anything, many buyers are concerned that the electric car battery life.

Every battery in an electric car sold in the U.S. comes with a warranty that lasts for a minimum of eight years or up to 100,000 miles.

However, the current prediction is that an electric car battery will last from 10 – 20 years before they need to be replaced. For example, Kia offers a battery pack warranty for 10 years or 100,000 miles, while Hyundai provides a lifetime coverage of its electric cars’ batteries.

It is noteworthy that cars located in hotter climates will typically experience a faster battery depletion. This is why most electric vehicles are equipped with a liquid-cooled battery pack.
