Actress, Omotola Jalade, Claims She Got Married At Age 18 Because She Was Already A Millionaire

Actress, Omotola Jalade, has once again shared a story behind the reason she got married at age 18.

According to her, she had been working since she was 15 years so she was already a millionaire at the age of 18 and that is why she agreed to marry as she believed she was ready.

Omotola, shared this while speaking in an interview with BBC Yoruba on marriage, advising women to make their own money before entering into the union.

“People can say because I married at 18 therefore they can also do it. The question is, are you ready for marriage?” She said.

“When I was 18 I was ready. I had been working since I was 15 years old and I had become a millionaire at the age of 18. That a lot of people didn’t know“, she claimed.

She advised women not to enter into marriage when they are not financially sound as they will become slaves in the marriage or feel like they are in prison.

Omotola also added that she was not only financially stable at age 18, she was also prepared and very matured at the time as she was taking responsibility for her younger siblings after their father passed and was like a mother to them.
