Former BBNaija housemate, Mercy Eke, has debunked claims from trolls that she is successful because of her relationship with men.

According to her, in this part of the world, people believe the success of a woman should be attributed to a man whether she is married or single. She added that she works very hard for everything she owns hence she is not bothered when she hears people talking behind her back.

Mercy Eke made this known during a question and answer session with her fans on her social media page.
She said;
“In this part of the world, people believe a man is behind the success of a woman, whether she is married or single. I work hard for everything I own today. When people say a man is behind these things, I find it appalling. However, it does not get to me anymore because what else would one say? It only shows that my success is visible”.
