Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele, has expressed her joy after her name appeared in the Forbes ‘100 Icons’ list for Africa.

The Forbes 100 Icons list contains names of African celebrities who have performed well in the industry and somehow impacted the lives of society with their talents and the role they play in society.
Funke who was super excited about making it to this list, took to her Instagram page to share the good news with her fans. She stated that she had no idea she was part of the list until a friend prompted her. The actress also expressed her gratitude to her fans for their constant support.

Funke wrote;
“Been filming and writing back to back and then @swankyjerry sent this to me like “Sis, you never see?” Thanks, swanky. I’m so honoured. Thanks”.
Funke has been hitting big this year as her movie, Omo Ghetto the Saga grossed ₦468 million at the box office it surpassed the record of 2016 film The Wedding Party to become the highest ever grossing film in the Nigerian film industry.
