“This Country Is Designed To Frustrate You” – Toke Makinwa Laments

On-air personality, Toke Makinwa, has lamented about how the country handles emergencies in the country.

According to her, her house caught fire yesterday and as part of measures to stop the fire from spreading to other sides of the house, she called the emergency fire department to help quench the fire but, to her surprise, they arrived at 1 pm when they had already managed to quench the fire.

Toke Makinwa lamented that the country is designed to frustrate people as the emergency units cannot attend to dire situations on time.

She said;

“This country is designed to frustrate you, you can call on the fire department and they show up almost 20 hours later asking questions like “who put out the fire”? I am still shocked… Then they ask to come back to teach the household how to use a fire extinguisher, between the shock I’m feeling, the anger and tiredness, I’m not sure how to feel about my country”.
