Simi Reacts After Being Dragged For Shading Davido With Her Tweet Congratulating Wizkid And Burna Boy

Female Nigerian musician, Simi, has finally responded to accusations of shading Davido with the tweet she used to congratulate Wizkid and Burna Boy after their win at the Grammy’s Awards.

Few moments after Burna Boy and Wizkid received Grammy’s awards, Nigerian and other social media users took over the internet to congratulate them for a massive win. Among them was Simi, she took to her Twitter page and wrote, “Starboy and Burna.. E Definitely Choke!!.

This tweet did not go down well with some Davido fans as they believe Simi used the slang e choke to shade Davido and deleted it after she realised she was being dragged.

Reacting to this, she stated that she deleted the tweet because a friend prompted her to remove it. After all, fans thought it was a shade. She also added that she saw not wrong with using the slang because she thought it was a normal phrase everyone uses.
