“I Want People To Play My Song Even On Sundays”- Wizkid

Nigerian singer, Wizkid, has stated that he loves to play around with different sounds to make music that will sustain his relevance and make people play his music all the time, even on Sundays.

In an interview with red radion, Wizkid mentioned that he opted for an all-embracing sound to make music because he was not okay with the songs that were played at events.

The star boy also mentioned that plans are underway to have a collaboration with top musicians like Tems, Bella Shmurda, and Omah Lay. He also disclosed that Omah Lay spent about five days with him in Ghana recording songs.

At the just-ended 14th Edition of the Headies Awards, Wizkid bagged the biggest award of the night as he was named the Artist of The Year. This category was much anticipated because it was a keenly contested one.

Wizkid battled it out with his colleagues, Burna Boy, Davido, and Tiwa Savage to emerge winner of the category.
