Popular Nigerian musician, Wizkid, has been named the winner of the artiste of the year category of the 14th Edition of The Headies Awards.

The category was much-anticipated by fans in the country as they were eager to know who will be going home with the bragging rights. The category was also closely contested by musicians like Davido, Burna Boy and Tiwa Savage.
In an earlier post, it was reported that a private jet was sent to Ghana to pick Wizkid to the event as he was still on a vacation with his family in Ghana.

The Headies 2020 will be the 14th edition of The Headies, Nigerian music awards show held to recognise outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The ceremony took place today, February 2021 at the La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort in Ibeju-Lekki.
The organisers of the event announced TV personalities and actress Nancy Isime and Comedian Bovi as hosts of the program, this will mark the fourth time Bovi played the role of the host at the Headies Awards Night.
