The board of the 2021 edition of the 3Music Awards have released the nominations for the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year and Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.

The nominations have created missed feelings and misunderstanding among the camp of Shatta Wale called the Shatta Movement. Shatta Wale has been omitted from the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year but has been included in the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
The reggae/dancehall song of the year nominees are; Stonebwoy, Mz Vee, Larruso, Kofi Jamar, Samini, Jah Lead and Adina whereas the reggae/dancehall artiste of the nominees are; Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Ras Kuku, Jah Lead, Larruso, Samini and Epixode.
Episode is the reigning Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year from Vodafone Ghana Music Awards competing with these top A-list artiste for the edition of 3Music Awards. Shatta Wale is the two times artiste of the year for the first two editions of the 3music awards.
