One of the biggest entertainment awards scheme in Ghana, 3Music awards will hold it forth awards edition in 2021 with the nominees set to be released today, February 12, 2021, at 8 pm.

The 3 Music Award is a Ghanaian music awards ceremony held annually since 2018 to celebrate Ghanaian music. It was established by the 3music Network with Media General TV3 as broadcasters. The Multimedia group became the media right holder in the second and subsequent edition.

The third edition was forced to be virtual after the government banned social gatherings as part of the covid-19 restrictions in the country. However, it did not blight its uniqueness. The only two winners in the Male Act of the Year category at the last three editions of the awards scheme, Shatta Wale won it in 2018 and 2019 and Sarkodie won it at the 2020 edition.
The organizers have introduced two new categories Best Alternative Song and EP of the Year. Best Alternative Song is the most outstanding genre defying song under the year in review away, from ”mainstream” Ghanaian music genres and EP of the Year is most outstanding EP on the basis of lyrical power and or superior songwriting, productions and promoted with at least a video.
