Ghanaian Dancehall artistes, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, formerly bitter rivals who have become close friends just for showbiz business have been rivals behind the scenes to fuel controversies.

These two A-list artistes have been fighting for supremacy as to who rules dancehall music in Ghana. This was the reason behind their VGMA brawl that led to their suspension from the awards scheme. They have begun 2021 with titles of supremacy but needless to their crafts.
Shatta Wale calls himself IDON while stonebwoy too have taken IGAD. After they releasing their singles IDON and IGAD which has become debatable which one is dancehall song, many artistes have joined that nugatory titles. Self-acclaimed Ghana music queen, Wendy Shay have adopted IGHANA and IQUEEN. Rapper Flowking Stone and dancehall artistes, Samini have taken IKING whereas DBlack have surprisingly picked ISHUSHI.
It appears that only the two times BET winner, Michael Owusu Addo, known as Sarkodie, have mot joined the trend. Already, Shatta Wale has described him as ’gentleman’ who does not give room to things like this.
