James Maslow is an American actor, model, dancer and singer best known as a former member of boyband Big Time Rush.

James David Maslow was born on July 16, 1990, in New York City, New York, USA. He was raised by parents, Cathy Burge and Mike Maslow in La Jolla, California. He has an older brother named Philip and a half-sister by the name Ali Thom.

James Maslow received training as a singer at an early age of six after his parents placed him in the San Diego Children’s Choir.

As per his educational background, James Maslow attended La Jolla and Torrey Pines elementary schools before proceeding to Muirlands Middle School, and San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA).
