Anton Zaslavski who is known in showbiz as Zedd, is a DJ, record producer, and songwriter of mixed descent from a Russian-German lineage.

Zedd was born on 2 September 1989 in Saratov, Russia into a Jewish family. However, he grew up in Dansenberg, Kaiserslautern, Germany after his family moved there during his childhood days.
Zedd’s father, Igor Zaslavski, is a guitarist and schoolteacher, and his mother is a piano teacher. He has an older brother, Arkadi, and a younger half brother, Daniel.

Sources say he began playing the piano at the age of four and the drums at twelve years old.
In 2002 at age thirteen, Zedd began playing for the German deathcore band, Dioramic, signed by Lifeforce Records.
