His excellency, Cyril Ramaphosa, has announced the activation of alcohol sales in South Africa.

Recall the sales of Alcohol in the country, was banned following the high recorded cases of the covid 19. Some restrictions were imposed, especially at places where many people do gather for fun. This was due to the rapid spread of the virus.
As part of the preventive measures was the ban on alcohol joints. In a tweet, the President of South Africa said the sales of alcohol would begin this week. He gave a time range from 10 am to 6 pm. However, it came with a condition stating which people are qualified to do those exactly. To him, only licensed alcoholic shops would be allowed to take this on. They would be the qualified ones to sell the alcoholic producers to their customers.

His tweet reads:
“The sale of alcohol by licensed premises for on-site consumption – such as restaurants and taverns – will be permitted throughout the week from 10 am to 10 pm.”

Restrictions on the sale of alcohol will be eased. The sale of alcohol by licensed premises for off-site consumption will be permitted from Mondays to Thursdays, from 10am to 6pm.
