Manuela Escobar has an older brother known as Juan Pablo Escobar Henao (Sebastian Marroquin), who is an architect and author. Manuela Escobar’s father, Juan Pablo Escobar died when she was just 9 years old. After her father’s death, Manuela Escobar had to flee from Colombia with her mother and brother to escape reprisals. After fleeing Colombia, they finally settled in Argentina where Manuela Escobar changed her name to Juana Manuela Marroquin Santos, leading a quiet and private life away from the limelight.
