Lady Zamar is a celebrated South African songwriter, singer, and performing artist.

Lady Zamar was born as Yamikani Janet Bandato a Malawian father and South African mother on June 19, 1987, in Tembisa, East Rand in Gauteng Province of South Africa.

Lady Zamar at the start of her music career teamed up with Junior Taurus. The team came up with their first album titled “Cotton Candy” soon after teaming up and the album made great on the sales chart.

She went solo and released her solo album King Zama which was her breakthrough making her win several awards.

Many of her fans actually thought she was just a single lady doing her music until the 30-year-old shocked them with photos of her highly secretive wedding with her Angolan lover Faustino Muhongo.
