Tom Hanks was born on July 9, 1956, in the Califonia United States. His parents were Amos Mefford Hanks and Janet Marylyn who passed on in 2016.

Tom Hanks started schooling at the  Skyline High School in Oakland, California before going to study theater at Chabot College in Hayward, alls in California. After two years, he transferred to California State University, Sacramento.

Tom Hanks got his first job in the film industry in a low budget movie called slasher film He Knows You’re Alone in 1980. His performance in his debut movie earned him a starring role in the television movie Mazes and Monsters.

After executing his starring role perfectly, more success and gigs followed him in a career spanning over three decades.
