Nigerians have reacted to David Oluwafemi Adewunmi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode’s advice to men by saying they should make sure they give their women at least 2 million nairas as their money to use for their Christmas celebration.
The Nigerian politician, essayist, poet, and lawyer took to his official verified Twitter handle and advised men to make sure they give their women at least N2 million as their money to use for their Christmas celebration. Adding that the N2 million given to the woman excludes other material gifts such as bone straight hair, ripped jeans, and others that the man must give her.

“In this era of “kanyamata”, “bone straight” &”rip jeans” any man that doesn’t give his lady at least 2 million naira to buy HERSELF goodies for Christmas is in trouble. That is 2 million cash OUTSIDE of the traditional Christmas gifts he has to go &buy himself &present to her!” he wrote.

Reacting to this, a Twitter user identified as @cheeomah_ reminded Femi Fani of his scandalous marriage as his marriage crashed over alleged domestic violence by saying he will give his wife N2 million and then assault her in addition.
