Everton is in talks with 37-year-old goalkeeper Asmir Begovic about a possible return to the Merseyside-based club on a one-year deal.

Asmir Begovic is currently a free agent after leaving QPR at the end of last season and is seen by manager Sean Dyche as a valuable asset for the upcoming season due to his experience.
Despite Jordan Pickford being Everton’s first-choice goalkeeper, Begovic’s potential signing is likely aimed at adding leadership within the squad rather than replacing Pickford.

Joao Virginia currently serves as the club’s second-choice keeper, so Begovic could slot in as the third-choice if the deal goes through.
A former Premier League winner with Chelsea, Asmir Begovic made 45 appearances in the Championship for QPR last season and would bring significant experience to Everton’s goalkeeping ranks.
Asmir Begovic will become one of the most experienced goalkeepers in the Premier League this season when the deal is successful.
