The 33-year-old, a two-time first-team All-Pro and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year, joins the Vikings after a solid 2023 season with the Dallas Cowboys.

Gilmore’s signing comes as the Vikings seek to strengthen their cornerback position, which has been hit hard by injuries and other challenges this summer.

He will be reuniting with Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who previously coached him during his time with the New England Patriots, where Gilmore earned his first All-Pro selection.
Despite losing rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy to a knee injury last week, the Vikings are clearly committed to staying competitive in the 2024 season.
Gilmore, who has 31 interceptions in 165 career games, is expected to play a crucial role in bolstering the Vikings’ defense.
