Who are Scott Bloomquist’s Parents Ron Bloomquist and Georgie Bloomquist

Scott Dean Bloomquist, a renowned Dirt Super Late Model race car driver, was the son of Ron Bloomquist and Georgie Bloomquist.

Though there isn’t much public information about his parents, it is known that they are still alive.

Scott Bloomquist tragically passed away on August 16, 2024, in a plane crash near his home in Mooresburg, Tennessee. He was 60 years old.

The crash involved a single-engine Piper J-3 plane, which belonged to Bloomquist. The plane crashed into a barn at his family farm around 7:50 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Family friend Reid Millard announced the news on behalf of Bloomquist’s mother, Georgie.

Hawkins County Mayor Mark DeWitte confirmed Bloomquist’s death in the crash. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are currently investigating the incident.

Bloomquist’s career was legendary, with over 600 victories and nine national championships since his debut in 1980. He was inducted into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in 2002.

His influence on the sport was profound, from his achievements on the track to his innovations in the dirt late model industry.
