Brandon Miller, a prominent American real estate mogul, died on July 3, 2024, from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning in his car at his home in the Hamptons.

He was 43. According to The Times, Miller’s death has been ruled a suicide, and he reportedly left a note for his family. The cause of death was confirmed as carbon monoxide poisoning.
Miller had been grappling with severe financial difficulties, including significant loans and mortgages.
He had also secured life insurance policies, reflecting the extent of his financial strain. His burial took place at West Babylon New Montefiore Cemetery.

Brandon Miller was married to Candice Miller, a socialite and founder of the Mama + Tata lifestyle site.
The couple shared two young children and owned a $3 million home in Southampton and a $9 million property in Tribeca.
Candice Miller, who co-founded Mama + Tata in 2016 with her sister Jenna Crespi, is also involved in the fashion industry as the head buyer at Tenet in Southampton and a co-founder of the vintage-inspired apparel brand Black Iris.
She has been publicly connected with notable figures such as Ivanka Trump.

Career in Real Estate
Brandon Miller was a key figure at REEC, the real estate firm established by his father, Michael Miller, in 1978.
Brandon joined the company in 2004 after graduating from Brown University and served as managing partner.
Under his leadership, REEC developed and acquired more than 20 million square feet of real estate nationwide. Significant projects included properties at 1228 Madison, 156 Prince Street, and 985 Park Avenue in New York City.
Legal Issues
In recent years, Miller faced various legal challenges. A 2019 complaint involved allegations that his father’s assistant had been instructed to sign documents fraudulently.
Additionally, Miller, along with his mother and sister, was accused of fraudulent transfers to prevent TD Bank from seizing $2.1 million. Legal issues also included disputes over docking fees at Aquebogue Hamptons Marina.
