Michael Murray, a contestant on the 2024 season of “My Kitchen Rules New Zealand,” has passed away.

The news was confirmed by a family member on Monday, August 11 2024 afternoon, though the cause of death has not been disclosed.

Murray, who competed on the popular cooking show with his cousin Piki Knap, was known for his impressive skills and unassuming personality.

The pair, who grew up together in Te Kūiti south of Auckland, developed their love for cooking by hosting large gatherings for family and friends.
