Grant Ellis, a familiar face from Jenn Tran’s season of “The Bachelorette,” has been announced as the lead for Season 29 of “The Bachelor.”

The 30-year-old day trader from Houston was eliminated during the rose ceremony on Monday, August 12 2024 episode but will soon take center stage as the second Black man to lead the show since its debut in 2002.
His season is set to premiere in January 2025 on ABC.

A former college basketball player, Grant’s “Bachelorette” bio described him as a “mama’s boy who loves poetry and reading” and enjoys watching the Lakers, bowling, and karaoke.
Although Jenn initially found him attractive, she ultimately chose not to take him to the hometown dates, leading to his elimination alongside Spencer Conley.
Grant’s journey on “The Bachelorette” included a heartfelt one-on-one date with Jenn, where he shared personal stories about his father’s struggles with addiction.
Originally from New Jersey, Grant played basketball for Iona University and Albertus Magnus College before an injury ended his career, prompting him to pivot to finance. He now seeks to find “his person” as the new Bachelor.
