Newly promoted Ipswich Town has emerged as one of the clubs interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

According to the emerging reports, Ipswich joins English side Everton and Turkish side Galatasaray in the race for the England defensive midfielder.
While Galatasaray has been linked with the player, it is understood that they are not among the options Phillips is currently considering.

Kalvin Phillips spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United and returned to the Etihad at the end of the season.

It is not known whether Pep Guardiola sees Kalvin Phillips as an integral member of his squad and the possiblity of losing him to another team is not yet known.
Despite limited playing time at Manchester City last season, Kalvin Phillips has impressed during pre-season, particularly in a central defensive role.
Ipswich want to remain in the Premier League for a very long time as as such, investing in top talents.
