In 2022, Clanton made headlines by winning the Azalea Invitational, one of the respected events in amateur golf. The same year, he also triumphed at the North and South Amateur held at Pinehurst Resort.

His success at Pinehurst didn’t stop there; Clanton later participated in the 2024 U.S. Open at the same venue and finished tied for 41st place.

College Golf Success

Clanton is currently playing college golf at Florida State University, where his skills have continued to shine. He’s already secured victories in four college tournaments, solidifying his reputation as one of the top amateur golfers.

Over the years, Clanton has amassed an impressive list of amateur titles. In 2017, he won the South Florida Junior Open and the AJGA Junior at Blue Hill. Three years later, in 2020, he took home the trophy at the Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior.

His winning streak continued in 2022 with victories at the Azalea Invitational, North and South Amateur, and the South Beach International Amateur.

More recently, in 2023, he won the NCAA Morgan Hill Regional. In 2024, Clanton added three more titles to his name: the Seminole Intercollegiate, Valspar Collegiate, and Lewis Chitengwa Memorial.
