Newcastle United have held positive discussions with Crystal Palace regarding the potential signing of top English defender Marc Guehi.

The negotiations follow Newcastle’s ongoing interest in improving their defensive set-up this season as they hope to compete for European spot this season.
Despite a previous bid of around £50 million being rejected, Newcastle United remains determined to secure Narc Guehi’s services as the new season commences on Friday, August 16.

Marc Guehi, who played 62 minutes for Crystal Palace in their final pre-season friendly against French side Nantes, has attracted significant attention due to his solid performances.
Newcastle’s interest in the Marc Guehi aligns with their ambition to strengthen their squad under manager Eddie Howe.
Marc Guehi was formerly linked with a move to Liverpool after his stellar performance for England in the Euro 2024 tournament. Other top teams are currently eyeing him although they have not made a move for him.
