Nottingham Forest have turned down a £17 million bid from Italian side Atalanta for young Welsh defender Neco Williams.

The current holders of the UEFA Europa League, Atalanta, who are also reportedly in discussions with Flamengo for Brazilian defender Wesley, have been keen to strengthen their defensive options this summer.
However, Nottingham Forest have been firm in their stance on Neco Williams, who has been very instrumental for the English club for the past two season.

Neco Williams came into the limelight when he emerged from Liverpool’s youth team and made some appearances for the senior team in the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Neco Williams, known for his versatility and defensive capabilities, has attracted interest from several European clubs, but Nottingham Forest are reluctant to part ways with him.
Atalanta may return with an improved offer, but for now, Neco Williams is focused on the upcoming Premier League season.
