 Life and Career

Yseult Onguenet was born in Tergnier, Aisne, France, to Cameroonian parents. Despite her early passion for music, her father initially discouraged her from pursuing it, leading her to skip classes to audition for “Nouvelle Star” in Paris.

Nouvelle Star and Career Beginnings (2013–2017)

In February 2014, Yseult competed in the final of “Nouvelle Star,” where she performed a variety of songs.

Following the show, she signed with Polydor Records and released her debut album, Yseult, in January 2015. Despite its limited commercial success, she released several music videos and singles from the album before leaving the label in 2017.

Rouge, Noir, and Other Projects (2018–present)

After parting ways with Polydor, Yseult signed with IMM management and established her independent label, YYY.

She released her first EP, Noir, in 2019, followed by a surprise EP, Rouge, later that year. Yseult has also modeled for major campaigns, including L’Oréal Paris, and made her acting debut in Maïmouna Doucouré’s film Hawa in 2022.

In 2024, she featured on the viral song “Alibi” with Sevdaliza and Pabllo Vittar.
